Genealogy is one of the fastest growing hobbies in the world today.  With todays technology it is getting easier and easier to do.  Anyone who has done any genealogy work has felt the thrill that you receive as you begin to link your family together.  As you discover these people who are such a part of you, your desire to discover more grows in leaps and bounds.

Writing family and personal histories can be fun and very enlightening.  Writing your own personal history gives you the opportunity to reflect on your life and remember many of the highlights of your life.  These stories can be priceless to your children and grandchildren.  They can help them to get to know you in a very different and more personal way than they might be able to, especially if distance or other factors keep you apart.

When you take the time and effort to search into the life of one of your ancestors and write their history, you are definitely the one who gains the most.  You obtain a personal knowledge of this person who is so much a part of you.  In so doing, you often find answers to the questions of why you are

the way you are.

I was once told that if you wanted to see miracles happen, just get involved in genealogy and family history research.  So get out there and make a few miracles happen in your life.
