GRAND OPENING-ORCHIDS AND LACE STORE

August 11, 2008

ANNOUNCING THE GRAND OPENING OF OUR ORCHIDS AND LACE STORE

Orchids and Lace has been in business for many years as a
floral and wedding business. We are happy to announce that
we have decided to open a store on our website
www.myldslifestyle.com where we will be offering a variety
of items, mostly handmade, that we hope will appeal to you.

When we started our online business we always had it in the
back of our mind that we wanted to open a store. After
much thought about what we might offer, we have decided to
take the big step. Right now we are offering baby and
children's jewelry and little girls hair bands and bows.
We will soon be offering a variety of wall plaques and
other home decor items with an LDS and family flare.

Please come visit us (excuse our construction mess as we
continue to grow and expand the store). The direct link to
the store is:

ENJOYING FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT-THE SAFE WAY.

Sex and Violence! These are two words that have become a
big part of today's society. You can't get away from them.
They hit you in the face wherever you go. Just try to turn
on the TV or start the computer without being bombarded.

We see it in the movies and on the billboards as we drive.
Not even the local mass transit is immune. Is there
anyplace we can go to be safe from this attack?

The home has always been looked at as a safe haven, a place
where you can get away from the trappings of the outside
world. But keeping the home safe is getting harder all the
time.

Two of our affiliates, CLEARPLAY and FAMILY SAFE MEDIA have
taken huge steps to help us keep our homes safe. With
exciting new technology we can control what comes into our
homes. Movies are edited to our specifications, according
to our family's needs. You can automatically limit the
time your children spen watching TV, playing video games or
on the computer.

These sites are great for families with children of all
ages, grandparents who want to control what their
grandchildren see, and anyone who is interested in cleaning
up the smut in their life. You can find their links on our
Family Entertainment page. Check them out and get some
control back into your life.

POLITICALLY SPEAKING

This is an exciting year. I always enjoy an election year
and this one is no different. In fact I feel this election
is especially important. I can't say that my candidate
made it as far as I wish he would have, but I still feel a
strong need to support my party's candidate.

There are so many things at stake in this election. Our
country is struggling with many problems that haven't faced
us for many years. We need to make sure we put a person in
the White House that will have the ability to get us
through some rough times.

I don't want to tell people how to vote. I just want
people to become informed on the politics in our nation,
and locally as well. Watch the debates, both nationally
and locally. Read the paper and other printed material.
Follow the issues on TV and on the radio. Do whatever you
can to get informed.

THE PERSONAL TOUCH.

So much of our lives right now revolve around our two
youngest sons. Michael has been in the mission field for
almost 8 months now. He is serving in the Massachusetts-
Boston Mission. He was recently transferred to his second
area and is now serving in Keene, New Hampshire. He loves
the work he is doing and the people he is working with.
His letters are always upbeat and filled with the spirit of
missionary work.

Eric is just about ready to turn his papers in and hopes to
be in the MTC by November. We are waiting with great
anticipation to see where he is called to serve.
